Adanac is a government containment facility for superhumans, known as Abnormals; slang name Lessers, scientific name: Homo Inferior. The main part of Adanac is set up just like a city, and is roughly the size of New York City. However, there is ten mile-wide band of desert surrounding the city that is studded with military guardposts and bordered on the outer border by an inescapable electric fence. The inner border, right where city meets desert, is surrounded by an invisible, dome-like force field lined with an extract of the N-67 nullifier, which drains an Abnormal's powers if they get too close.
Though an exile facility, Adanac still has police. Though, they are a highly trained, elite military group known as the Antidote. There is a high-security prison hidden in the desert, which is not only the most advanced of its time, but also the cruelest.
The city has a zero percent homeless population, as all Abnormals live in homes that mirror those they were forced to leave. Those that were homeless live in a generic, government-housing type home. Of course, the crime rate is high.
As for jobs and lifestyle, Abnormals can get a job to be able to earn Adanac's own currency, used to buy little luxuries here and there, although some don't like the idea of technically working for the Antidote, whether you're working a bar or cleaning toilets at a restaurant...
One will find that Adanac actually resembles an actual American city exactly. This is because the government wants to keep the Lessers as complacent as possible while figuring out what to do with the menace.
Some Lessers choose to go it alone, while others have formed groups; either criminal organizations, or in an attempt to keep the peace. Still others do their own thing, preferring to just try to live their life while they can.
Meanwhile, some members of the Antidote are actually just, and don't see the Abnormals as a threat. Others, meanwhile, are prejudiced and cruel towards them, treating them as if they were dogs. Though ten years old, this project is still developing, and has yet to reach perfection. Once it does, all Countries will have their own Adanac, and every Abnormal in the world will be confined...
The line has been drawn in the sand, and now it's time for you to pick a side.
Welcome to Adanac. Enjoy your stay.
