"Couple Miles," Ty answered, looking at her. "Not really, but I'll have to manage. After all, that guy ain't gonna stay out forever. And...he ain't gunna be too happy when he wakes up. He'd prolly call for backup, and I can barely stand one Antidote, much less ten..." So, he started walking in the direction of his house.

Violet called after him, "Mine is closer. Its not even a couple miles away. We'll go to my house."
Violet grabbed Ty by the arm and helped to lead him to her house.
She walked in silence with Ty. She didn't know what to say and didn't want to risk angering Ty again. She also knew he need to save as much energy as he could. Although she couldn't help but wonder what he was thinking about. He was so mysterious. She wanted to know him better.

Ty nodded, deciding not to argue with her, especially when she grabbed his arm. "Okay then." He clenched his eyes shut, tensing a little as they walked. It was nothing personal. Mostly he was focusing his mind so as not to accidentally sap her power again. He was pretty sure if he did that again he'd end up passing out. He already felt like he wanted to crawl in bed and sleep for a year.
Besides, this Violet chick seemed nice enough. And she was new here. Maybe he needed a friend besides Nichole, anyway. He looked around as they walked, surveying his surroundings.

Violet began to lead him in the direction of her house. She noticed when he clenched up and shut his eyes. She could tell how drained he was from the way he was trying hard to keep up and from his demeanor.
As they walked, she could tell he was trying to figure out where they were. Despite being as drained as he was, Violet saw that he was determined to remain alert.
The street was lined with a few streetlights so there was some visibility. They passed by many deserted streets. Not a single person seemed to be present. And all was quiet. They finally got to the section in the Residential Area where Violet lived. They walked by house after house. Violet didn't live in a very rich or spectacular part of the area, but it was somewhere to stay. The houses were all different yet they all seemed the same to her. They were all pretty close to each other and made of brick. Despite being a Director of a research lab, Violet by no means lived in or had anything rather extravagant, but she tried to make it the best way that she could. Money was good at times, but that doesn't necessarily mean that one has to show off how wealthy they are by buying more than what is needed or buying things that are expensive just as a means to show it off to people.
When Violet and Ty got to her house, she walked Ty through the door and managed lay him on the couch. She knew that he was exhausted, but wanted to be a good host so she asked if he was hungry? Thirsty? Or if he needed anything?

Ty had no past with the military, and he'd never been a cop. The man's alertness was simply from the fact that he trusted no one. Yes, he was exhausted, but he was doing his best to remember where he was just in case a quick escape was in order. When they reached her neighborhood, he noticed it wasn't all that fancy; not that his one-bedroom house was all that great either, but still.
He didn't argue when she lay him on the couch, and he willingly did so. However, when she asked if he wanted anything, the only reply Violet would get was a light snoring.

Violet looked over at Ty from being at the refrigerator and getting herself a nice glass of milk. Somehow milk always helped her to settle down and get to sleep. She heard him begin to lightly snore and she smiled. She was glad that he would be able to rest up and regain his energy and that she knew that he would be okay.
She was really happy to have finally met someone and realized that not everyone was bad or was out to harm her. Maybe being at Adanac wouldn't be so bad afterall now that she has met Ty. He's as interesting as she thought he was. She was glad she was managing to get close to him. That's what she really needed in a place like this. All she needed was a friend. Maybe he could introduce her to some people. He was bound to know more people than she did. He had been here longer.

Ty didn't know how long he'd been asleep, or even what time it was when it happened. But just like every night, it happened, right on schedule. The nightmare. The same one he always had since being sent to Adanac. He could still feel the spit on his face, the being gassed with N-67, and even the beatings, both with nightsticks and fists.
Then, he found himself in a room called a holding facility, where he was beaten some more, then shocked with some weird modified version of a cattle-prod. All the while he heard chants of Freak, Lesser, and Monster, followed by a familiar voice shouting "Get him again!"
Archetype sat up, breaking out in a cold sweat as his body trembled and his eyes adjusted to the dark room. ...Wait...this wasn't his house. Where was he...? Oh right. That girl from the park. She'd brought him here...
He lay back down, hugging himself, and still shaking. He never even realized he'd screamed when he woke up...

Violet had been sleeping for a few hours when all of a sudden, she heard a scream. She rushed into the living room where Ty was lying. She called out to him. When she walked into the living room, she saw him hugging himself and shaking. She also saw that he was drenched in sweat. She walked over to the couch and sat on the end close by Ty's feet. Based on what she had seen, she gathered that Ty had had a nightmare.
"Are you okay, Ty?" Violet asked, trying to comfort him. She wanted to pat his shoulder or help in any way she could, but didn't know if touching him would be a good idea right now.

Ty closed his eyes, he wanted to speak, but he couldn't; he'd never tried after a nightmare before. Then again he'd never had anyone to care about him since he'd been taken to Adanac. A tear rolled down his face, but he wiped it away.
Gathering his strength, he stood up, and groggily walked to the kitchen, fixing himself a glass of water from the faucet. "I'll be fine," he finally managed to choke.

Violet walked up to Ty while he was in the kitchen. She rubbed his shoulder and back, trying to comfort him.
"Are you sure?" Violet asked.
Violet walked Ty back to the couch and sat down with him. Violet gave him a few minutes to relax and settle back down.
"Wanna talk about it?" Violet asked. "It might help."

Ty relaxed as she rubbed his back and shoulders and he drank his water. "Yeah...it's happened every night since I got here. Three months ago," he explained, then walked with her to the couch, sitting down.
"It's nothing...I just relive the day I was brought here, and the day I was....'processed.' Every night it's the same thing..." He put his glass on the coffee table, resting his head on his palms and shivering some more.

Violet didn't wanna seem too forward, but the feminine part of her wanted to hug Ty. She too used to have recurring nightmares of the day that the Antidote took away people from the orphanage when she was little.
"Do you have the nightmare every time you go to sleep or just once every night?" Violet asked.
Violet rubbed Ty's back some more, trying to comfort him more.

"Usually just once. Sometimes more," he said, leaning forward more as she rubbed his back. His muscles seemed to relax a little as she did this, and he did sort of like it. His eyes closed, and he found himself at ease, or as at ease as he got, those days. "Mmmm....I wasn't always like this. This place....it's changed me," he whispered.

Violet hugged Ty. She felt like it was okay to do so. Adanac had changed many people since being brought here, even herself. She was glad she could help Ty relax.
"I know, Ty. Adanac has changed everyone. You're not alone, trust me. There are quite a few memories of things that happened that I wish I could forget too." Violet said, hugging him more and continuing to rub his back.
"Do you wanna try to go back to sleep or do you wanna stay up a bit? I know that couch isn't that comfortable. Would you like to sleep in a bed instead?" Violet asked.

Ty hugged her back, making Violet the second person Ty'd hugged since going to Adanac. He nodded as she explained, barely whispering an "I know." He blinked as she asked if he'd rather sleep in a bed. "That would be nice, if you don't mind..." he murmured, not quite sure how he felt about taking her bed. "But I don't wanna be any trouble to you or nothin,'" he said quickly, his Southern drawl starting to show a bit more than he liked.
