"I'm a weather manipulator, waterbreather, and an omni-linguist" Violet said. "And yes, I agree. I wouldn't change my powers for the world either. I love them." "They've definitely helped me to cope with my life growing up."
"Oh and by the way, you never answered my other question. What do people do around here while being stuck in Adanac?" Violet asked.

Ty nodded slightly at her powers. "Interesting. And yeah, they do tend to help, or hinder. Or a mixture of both."
At her question, he blinked, looking back at her. "Oh. Sorry. Well...it's a city. You have the option to live your life almost like you did back home, if that's your thing. There's a mall, arcade, zoo...even bars and nightclubs. A little something for everyone, I guess."

"Well I haven't exactly seen a research lab around here. So I guess that that particular past time of mine has died." "Do you think it would be possible to have one in one's home?" Violet asked jokingly. "I'm thinking probably not."
"So what do you like to do besides coming to the park at night and spending time by the lake?" she also inquired, indicating that she wanted to walk around the park and talk some.

"If there is one, it'd prolly be around the harbor. Somewhere I don't frequent much, but considering the past of alot of the Abnormals here, I doubt there'd be one of those. Sorry."
He chuckled dryly when she asked what he did besides go to the lake. "Not alot. Mostly keep to myself. And maybe cause the Antidote a bit of trouble."

"What did you do before coming here, Ty?" Violet asked, walking towards Ty slowly to try and fill the gap between them.
"I was about to start my job as the Director over a research lab, but when the company found out I was an Abnormal, they informed the government and I was taken here." Violet continued, playing with her braids, head hung low, and looking at the lake as she kept walking closer.

Ty was so struck by her question that he didn't react to--or didn't notice--her getting closer to him. He thought about this, closing his eyes as he remembered that day. The day he was betrayed. The day his entire life was turned upside down. When his eyes opened, he'd turned to completely face the lake.
"I had a job in a warehouse, made...okay...money. I was...happy..." he replied, his voice solemn and almost a whisper. "Then, a few months ago, that was turned upside down by someone I thought I loved..." He clenched his eyes shut, his hands balling up into fists as he continued, forgetting anyone was there. He just let his emotions do the talking.
"I loved her...I thought she loved me back. But when I finally decided to grow a pair and not be ashamed of my powers...when I decided to let her know what I was...she told her Antidote brother on me...Then she spat on my face as I left consciousness...Tore my heart in two..." In his rage, he bent down and picked up a large rock, throwing it as far as he could out into the lake.

"I'm so sorry, Ty." she said, as she placed a hand on his shoulder. "I can't believe that they treated you so horribly."
"When people found out that I was an Abnormal, they treated me as an inferior and shunned me from society despite having a high rank amongst one of the best research labs in the country. I was never abused like they abused you though." Violet spoke softly.
"This is why us Abnormals should stick together. No one deserves to be treated like that. I may not have been abused by them personally, but I've seen many of my friends be beaten bloody and even killed growing up." Violet said passionately, growing angry.
The night sky began to get very dark, and loud thunder begins to boom. Bright lightning flashes and winds begin to gust by at 40 mph. Limbs from nearby trees can be heard being ripped off and seen flying by in the night sky.

He shuddered when she touched him, and he bit his lip as he listened, only growing more angry as he thought not only of what happened to him, but what had happened to others thanks to the Antidote. He didn't say a word, but the weather got even worse.
The wind intensified even more, lightning striking a tree nearby and setting it on fire as rain began to pour down in thin, stinging drops, which put the fire out, but the tree was still charred to a crisp. Ty clenched his eyes shut, tears rolling down his face. Maybe touching him wasn't the best idea...

Violet realized what she had done when she touched him. She realized that he could utilize her powers, and quickly took her hand off of him.
Thinking fast, Violet tried to obtain control back over the weather, while also wanting to change the subject so as to try and calm Ty down. She knew that if she didn't do something quick there would be nothing left of Adanac and people would be injured badly or killed or even worse, have the Antidote try to infiltrate the area and try to subdue us.
"Ty?" Violet screamed over the storm. "Tell me what your childhood was like. Try to think about good memories that you have."
She hoped that this would sustain him enough for her to regain control of the storm and to calm him down.

When she let go, the dark clouds began to swirl, though the weather began to calm just a little as Violet tried to regain control. He clenched his eyes even tighter as he sat on the ground, resting his forehead on his fists.
"I...I was an only child..." he choked. "Had an older cousin who was more like an older sister. In kindergarten I met Nichole...we didn't get along at first, but before long we became the best of friends, almost like brother and sister...and we were inseparable for awhile..." The weather subsided, becoming the clear night it had once been as Ty lay back on the grass, shaking, eyes still closed. He was exhausted, which usually happened after copying another's powers like that. His body trembled slightly, his breaths coming out in gasps.

"Tell me more, Ty." Violet suggested. She had managed to regain control and the night sky had returned to normal. But she was now worried about Ty. She watched as he lay there in the grass, wanting to comfort him, but not knowing what would happen if she touched him again. She was thinking that maybe if he kept talking and if she got him to relax some more that his breathing would steady and he would stop shaking. She knew that he needed rest and that both of them couldn't possibly stay there all night. She tried to think of what to do after she got him settled down. Does she risk bringing him to her place hoping that he won't freak out or does she try to help him to his place, wherever that maybe, in a town she doesn't know very well?

Ty shook his head, breathing shakily. "Too...tired..." he mumbled. "I...I'm good now. Using my powers like that....takes a huge toll on me. I'll be fine." His eyes opened, and he looked up at her. "Sorry about that. I didn't mean to use my power then....it just happened." He closed his eyes again, shakily reaching up to wipe a tear away from his eye.
"I also didn't mean to say so much...get so...emotional. I usually keep that bottled up..."

"You are by no means fine. You just expended a lot of energy and you have too much bottled up. You have to find someway of getting if off your chest. Talking helps. But if you're not comfortable with that yet. I can help find you find something to help. And I understand about the powers taking over. That happens to me too." Violet explained.
"We need to get you somewhere so that you can rest better. So take your pick. Either I can take you home with me or you can waste more energy and try to tell me how to find your house because I don't know my way around too well." Violet said.
"I have a feeling that the Antidote are going to want to check this out soon, so we have to do something quick. What's it going to be?" Violet said anxiously.

Ty sat up, then stood groggily to his feet. "That explains it. When I copy someone's powers, I have just as much control they had when they first discovered their powers. I'm getting a reign on it by focusing more when I copy, but it doesn't do any good when I don't know what I'm getting," he explained. He blinked at her suggestion, but it was probably because he was digging too deep into being invited to a chick's place. Heh.
Well...I have yet to meet an Abnormal here who sides with Antidote, so...it should be safe...right? Ty scratched his head. "I live in a small house not far from here. And after what just happened I doubt you'll just leave me, heh. If yours is closer, we can do that."

"How far is not far from here?" Violet asked.
"My apartment is close but its still kind of a nice walk from here." Violet said.
"Do you think you have enough energy to be able to help my find where your place is?" Violet inquired.
"And you are very correct indeed. I'm not just going to leave you. Abnormals have to stick together." Violet said.
